CaSTL 2018 UCI-ASU Pathways Program Fellow, Howard Weatherspoon, presents his research at Albany State University Math competition for high school students to show importance of math in scientific research and career opportunities.

Congrats George! for 7th Ahmed Zewail Prize in Molecular Sciences. Your contributions to the Chemistry at the Space-Time Limit are transformative! Your collaborations with CaSTL scientists helped to unravel some long outstanding problems in mixing electrons, light and force!

Looking forward to more!

The Ahmed Zewail Prize in Molecular Sciences is awarded to an individual scientist who has made significant and creative contributions, to any of the disciplines of molecular sciences.

Congratulations to Benjamen Taber, postdoctoral researcher in the Apkarian Lab, who was the 2018 runner-up winner of the American Vacuum Society, Nanoscale Science and Technology Division Postdoc Award.

CaSTL 2018 UCI-ASU Pathways Program Fellow, Carterion Whitlock, receives travel award to present his summer research project from Professor Kumar Wickramasinghe's lab at the Region 3 NSBE conference in Montgomery, AL on November 16-18, 2018.

During National Chemistry Week, CaSTL EOD, Danielle Watt, and UCI neuroscience grad student, Angeline Eugene, conducted hands-on activities with 4-5th graders at the second annual STEM Fun Day at Friendship Baptist Church. To complement this year's theme of "Chemistry is out of this World", students learned how Chemistry at the "Space"-Time Limit use light to study the interaction of molecules and they used a hand-made spectrometer to investigate the properties of different light sources.
