Engaging Young Scientists at Astounding Inventions

CaSTL staff particpated in the 32nd Annual Irvine Valley College (IVC) Astounding Inventions competition held on Saturday, January 26^th, 2019.  They conducted hands on activities with young inventors from the Irvine and Tustin School Districts in kindergarden to eighth grade.

To spark student's interest in science, students learned how bonds form and break in molecules by playing our Bond Breaker game, examined the uses of polymers and hydrogels, and took home spectroboxes to learn about the properties of light.
